My OOTD

Assalamualaikum..

It is hardly to recall when I actually started to love fashion and styling (myself and my boys of course). Well, all I know I am always a big fan of award show since I was a little girl. I would not miss and was always ready in front of the TV to watch award shows such as Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe, MTV and our local award shows were my favorite too such as Anugerah Juara Lagu, Bintang Popular, AIM (to name a few). I love to see how an event is conducted, every single person is playing an important role to make sure the smoothness of the event. Be it the producer, floor manager, the artists or even the stylist. I just love to see the teamwork. Even though we can't really tell what is happening backstage, but the successful of an event shows it all. And now, some of my favorite TV shows are E! Police and E! Red Carpet (yela dulu takde astro dik nonnn) so I have become an OOTD fan since then I guess.

Haha sabar je Encik Epul melayan wife dia yang suka OOTD ni...hihihi.. For me, the most important guideline would be the outfit needs to look decent enough at least for my husband's view. However, I rarely ask my hubby's opinion on which outfit should I wear because as a Muslim and as a wife, I think it is very important for us to know the limitation in fashion and styling.

my OOTD at early 30's

The first two pictures below are not really OOTD pictures but they obviously show the turning point in my fashion sense. Turning 30's really makes me realize that I should stop wearing too many colors at a one time ! I feel better now, coordinating my colors and determining what should I put on before going out =) Never gonna be as classy as Vivi Yusof, but I hope my fashion sense is adapting accordingly to my age. 

Kalau dulu, aku suka pakai shawl bunga2..corak2..but now I am more comfortable with plain shawl, be it any types of shawl. Same goes to the the blouse, top, dress, skirt, abaya that I wear. I will try my best to go the minimal way.

 Long journey in a car, I chose to wear a simple top, jeans and jacket shawl.

 One of fav outfits to work. With my fav. Bokkita hijab. Matching my kurung moden top with electric blue skirt.

 When I have more time to get ready, that means more time to style my shawl haha. Creamy top that I bought in Jusco (during sale) with printed pants (also bought in Jusco).

Ready-to-wear outfit. Quick and easy. None needed to be ironed. Electric blue Instant shawl, White Top (Forever 21) & printed pants (also bought in Jusco, couldn't remember the brand).

Assalamualaikum w.b.t... haishhh busy busy.. busy with classes, works and busy berdating with my bffs hee.. even though I frequently meet my bff-sha n bayne, but sometimes I feel terribly missing my other girls. The ones who had I been working with especially in msu (5 years kot). One of them is Nadhrah. So I planned a meet up with her, together with my other beloved soul sister, Nadia. The last time I met Nadrah was 5 months ago, during her wedding. As for Nadia, we always lepak2 after work..once in a month adalah. So, we dated at Subang Parade (at first) but later si mak buyung (yes Nadhrah is pregnant) wanted to eat a desert after seeing Hanis Zalikha posted a picture on IG haha...layankan aje.. so we went to Empire, just few walks away.

Worth it?

Ok..before I start.. all these pictures are from mr google okeh. 

I ni jenis..kalau beli baju / tudung..i akan beli banyak2 tapi ...sangat jarang..contoh 6 bulan sekali ke..kumpul mood and kumpul mane2 design yang berkenan..pastu beli few terus. Kita ni jenis suka mencuba. tapi tak semua design yang kita berkenan. contoh macam peplum and kimono cardigan.. tak de plak rasa nak cuba.

Tapi baju2/ tudung / jubah ni semua mmg kita da aim da for quite sometimes. I punya style.. I lagi prefer beli kat flea market. And my current favorite flea market adalah di Plaza Alam Sentral Shah Alam. Terbaik..banyak sangat pilihan and harga pun ok la :)

So..these are few items that I just bought after dapat gaji hari hihihi.. Let's see whether they are worth it or not.

1. Double layer fishtail chiffon

Lebih kurang mcm ni la yang kita beli tu just mine is the combo of purple (kat luar) and pink (kat dalam). Review: hmm.. best..sangat sopan sebab dia ada lining sleeveless lining and chiffon pun tebal. Just maybe x berapa nak sesuai pakai ngan pants/ jeans sebab peha kita da makin besar hihi..haishhh..kena diet cepat2 ni.

2. Patterned Harem Pants

Macam haremmm sangat bunyi die kan haha. I dah lama aim harempants ni ok tapi selalu x terbeli. I punya sebiji macam gambar ni. 

Review: ok..tapi die ketat sikit bahagian betis..so I kena londehkan sikit bahagian pinggang tu hihi..tapi mmg suka sangat seluar ni..sebab die x fit mcm jeans...so nampak lagi sopan..cita2 nak beli lagi!

 

3. Silk Satin Square Shawl

 I beli kat pkns 19.90 tapi pergi PAS- rm 15 je! see ..hmm tak pe la.. I beli color dark brown tapi corak die kat tepi2 je. Rasa macam serabut je muka kita kalau pakai yg full corak macam gambar ni. 

Review: So far tak cuba betul2 lagi. Tapi memang tak pernah pakai style macam ni. But yang penting material dia best. From my eyes' view, tudung ni nampak western sangat..thats why nak cuba heee

4. Chiffon full lining jubah with belt

Yang ni kebetulan terbeli. I mmg tak berapa nak minat jubah tapi yang I beli tu mmg cantik. Tak jumpa pulak gambar die kat google ni. Tapi design lebih kurang cam ni. 

Review: Sangat suka! sopan! sesuai sangat pergi kerja atau dinner.. belt die sesuai pakai kalau nak pergi dinner kot tapi kalau kerja, just loose macam tu pun cukup.

 

 5. Crumple shawl

Yang ni pun I teringin nak try bila tengok siti nurhaliza selamba je belit2 pakai macam tak de masalah je. 

 Review: Best..tak payah iron.. tapi rasenye lagi best kalau tak pakai inner sebab die macam entahla nak cerita macam mana..die lagi cantik kalau effortless gitu.. I da beli dua yang ni..satu cream satu black hee

6. Batwing t-shirt

Fisrt sekali terjatuh chenta kat batwing ni masa tengok nurulcakap2, si blogger tu pakai kat blog dia.. tapi tak yakin nak pakai..last2 beli jugak semalam hehe.. I punya lebih kurang macam gambar ni tapi tangan loose sikit and dark blue kalernye.

 7. chiffon long dress

kita dah lama jugak nak beli dress ni..tapi selalunya dress ni x de lining..dah satu hal nak beli inner macam jubah tu.. tapi nasib baik tadi..ade booth pre-loved kat bawah. rezeki i kot.. dapat chiffon dress macam ni..full lining ok! jangan marah...kaler sama macam ni..or maybe a lil bit darker..  

Review: Suka!!! yeay.. dah la dapat half price sebab owner kedai tu kata dia beli kat poplook tapi ketat sikit so sbb tu die nak jual...Alhamdulillah rezeki

Ok..I am a happy lady now..Alhamdulillah..heee

Positive change

Ever since I work here, there is one thing that has changed, which I am still in the process of making it more perfect.. slowly..insha Allah. My fashion sense. Yes..my current workplace..it is more Islamic..which I am very happy about..it just that..when I started working here.. I am out of cloth! haha.. Ya la.. I came from a Malay company.. which you know how a normal malay company's dress code right.. So all my attires in the closet were like..hmm..

"nope this one..hmm..oh no..this blouse will get me a warning letter from HR..nope.nope..hwaaa..what should I wear?"

There are certain color and dress codes that need to be followed here. I am aware of this because a day after I accepted the offer to work here, I went through my company's website and the first thing that I was searching at was the dress code. I didn't feel shock or what not. I feel happy. I always have the intention to be a better muslimah.. a proper covered of my aurah. So, I was happy but I was out of ideas on what to wear. Baju kurung will be the safest choice! But all my baju kurungs are in bright colors.. and a lil bit curvy..tu la..diva sangat kan.. so I only have like 2-3 pieces of baju kurung that I could wear. Abaya? I have none! I am not really a big fan of abaya or jubah. Slowly, I am getting more abaya now huh. But my favorite attire will be... a mix and match of a top with cardigan/ blazer and a long skirt. Easy! I have a quite number of long skirts..and long skirts are always looking decent.

I olls kan rajin selfie..so banyakla koleksi gambar haha..see..even though I wear shawls most of the time, but now all my shawls must be wide enough for me to cover that chest area. Selamat tinggal shawl pendek and jarang.

And I am still in the process of adapting this culture when I am out of working commitment. I mean... outing for any events with my family. Please pray for me...Will pray for all the muslimahs too.. insyaAllah
