MC for Convocation
I took the responsibility to become the MC (Master of Ceremony) of my university convocation last few weeks. Phewww.. that was an achievement, my personal achievement. I have been appointed by the highest committee members of University Convocation to become the MC, together with my co-host, Mr Fahed.
I want to share a story. I was.. a shy girl. I was a quiet girl when I was in primary and secondary school. Even when I was in my university years, I was among the average students and unpopular. I had a low-self esteem as most of my TESL mates were very good to the extend I was afraid to make mistakes. I had no confidence to talk. I was uncertain whether I should proceed with the course. I doubted my future. However, I am the kind of person who will fight till the finish line, no matter what happens. I would say, things started to change gradually when I began my teaching career in 2007 as a part time / full time lecturer. I traveled to Perak as I thought that was a once in a life time opportunity that I shouldn't miss. In front of the diploma students, I gained my confidence to talk. They listened to what I wanted to say, they understood my lesson. They were my biggest drive. In Perak also, I accidentally joined theater programs, I was one of the advisors in UITM Seri Iskandar theater club named AKSENT along with my best friend, Bayne. I also accidentally.. lol... acted as one the leading roles in a theater called Dejavu Seorang Perempuan, playing an egois intern teacher. I did not win the "Best Actress" title in the theater competition, but that was my turning point to overcome my stage fright / Glossophobia (public speaking phobia). I even did not believe myself that I was performing in front of the theater lovers, almost a thousand of them. They even gave me a big applause when my name was nominated as the Best Actress. I felt ..... yeahhh.. I am not that bad..lol...
Now, this year is my 10th year in education line as a lecturer. Numbers of lectures, consultations, talks that I have delivered in 10 years. It has become a norm for me to talk in front of people. I even gave a talk to students and participants on how to become a good presenter! Haha.. Just imagine how time can change you! My parents sometimes still have a hard time to believe that I have come this far in my personal achievement. Their shy and quiet daughter was the MC for a convocation haha. Well, honestly, I took the responsibility sincerely, with open heart just to challenge myself more. Alhamdulillah, the ceremony went smoothly and people from different walks of life came to me and congratulate me. There are more people / colleagues / deans who appreciate me now. It was truly an eye-opener. I didn't know whether I did well or not but one thing that I know, I am glad that I could help and contribute to the ceremony. You know what, once upon a time, I was a little girl who was always playing a host in front of a mirror, and now I got the chance to become one. Alhamdulillah.
So, determination and prayers are the keys. Do not give up for your dreams. We can never tell our future. Just do your best in what ever path that you choose to be. Here are some of the pictures of the rehearsal and the ceremony itself, held in Shah Alam Convention Centre.
It was 8 pm. All of us were exhausted but determined to make sure the event would go accordingly to the plan.

Syaza's Surprise Bridal Shower
Assalamualaikum wbt,
A colleague of mine used to say " yana.. banyaknya kawan yana !!" Well.. All I can say is Alhamdulillah. I love making friends and keep in touch with them. Of course everyone loves having friends. It depends. Some people love to have a lot of friends and some people would prefer to stay in a small circle of friends. For me, I have never put a limit on how many friends should I have in life (I mean close friends), as long as these people keep inspiring me and the chemistry is good, I will try my best to keep the friendship lasts forever.. InsyaAllah.
Well, I have a few circle of friends; it is easier to group them accordingly to the Whatsapp Group Chat, right? haha. In my current GroupChat list, I have BBFKitKat (ex-TESLians UiTM), Friends Till Jannah (ex-English Lecturers msu), Gossip Girls (Ex-CFS), Ukhwah Fillah (current colleagues), Besties (me, bayne n sha) and Reunion Seksyen 16 (Ex-housemates). Some of the groups have the same member especially Bayne because she used to be my TESL mate as well as MSU mate.
Thus, last weekend on Saturday, Friends Till Jannah (FTJ)'s group threw a surprise bridal shower for our dear Syaza. BTW, the group members are Fya, Syaza, Bayne, Mun, Nadia, Nas, Tika and myself. Syaza is getting married in April. We have known Syaza for more than five years. She is a very funny person and lovely of course.
Two months before, I texted Fya and asked her to create a special groupchat to plan for this surprise because I knew Fya loves organizing event ;p. Thus, we have two group chats, one is with Syaza in it and one is without her. The funny part was, there were few times that some of us 'kantoi' salah group hahaha. Fya did most of the tasks; videos and pictures compilation, decoration together with Nadia, surveying the venue and the bridal shower cake. Thanks a lot babe! Nadia was handling the 'acting' part. Nas was in charge of printing because she owns a printing company haha. So she has sponsored the fridge magnets as the door gifts as well as the cake topper. Thank you Nas! Myself, I prepared the game..just a simple game because we decided to do it at a very last minute and thank you Nas for printing out the sheets :). Bayne; she threw us another surprise on the day itself, she gave us a free lipstick and shawls! Thanx noks. Mun.. her camera saved our day because the pictures from her camera are superb! Unfortunately, Tika could not join us because her son was feverish on that day. It's ok beb. And I have to thank my hubby because letting his wife to escape for few hours! haha Oh ya .. the dress code was dress/ top with skirt and fuschia color lipstick (Syaza's favorite color).
Ok, so this was how the surprise bridal shower was planned: Nadia set a date with Syaza, just the two of them. Nadia acted like she had a big problem and wanted to meet Syaza to talk about it on the 27th of Feb 2016 at The Curve (because Syaza stays in Kota Damansara). Syaza would not smell anything fishy as both have not seen each other for quite some times so it was a good time to meet. Syaza was very busy so we had changed the date for few times. The actual venue was The Apartment Restaurant.
The plan was all of us must be at the restaurant before 2 pm while Nadia "is expressing" about her problems to Syaza at McDonald and having ice creams.
Ok, let us get to know with the master minds:
Sapa lagi.. tuan blog la kan
Bayne
Fya..
Mun

Nas
and Syaza... the future bride!
So masa ni Nadia bawa Syaza pergi McDonald dulu makan ice cream and then dia buat cerita dia teringin nak makan kat The Apartment haha.. so masa ni kita orang dah standby kat The Apartment.
SURPRISE!!!!!!!!! Look at her blushing face!
She was so surprised siap ada cake comel lagi!
and the bridal tiara of course!
The fondant chocolate cake.. yummy.. and the cake topper made by Nas .. go and check her biz IG @printrix

The game that I have prepared for the event. Just a simple game; I personal texted them 4 simple questions related to marriage and Syaza. So basically they just need to guess whose answers were on the paper... but we had fun. Fya scored the highest! I knew it!
Then, we made Syaza watched and listened to our video compilation .. the wedding wishes.. She cried!
Then, we watched the pictures compilation of all of us since the first year of friendship.

Love you Syaza!

Kidz Paradize Klang Parade
Assalamualaikum wbt...
Last 2 weeks, we went to Klang Parade purposely to bring the boys to the Kidz Paradize. Actually, a week before that, we were in Klang Parade just to look around the new renovated shopping mall and brought the kids jalan-jalan
until we passed by the Kidz Paradize area. We were like.. wow.. the
place looks very tempting not only for the boys of course but also for
us, the parents! haha.. So we had some Q&A sessions with the girls
who were monitoring the place.. the package offered captivated our eyes! We decided to think about it first and would come back on the next weekend.
So,
we did! haha. The package offered was RM150 for 6 entries, which means
RM25 per entry. The normal charge per entry is RM35! Jimat 10 hengget u
ollz! Harusla grab. Since we have two boys, it will be 3 sessions for
them. So we went there around 12 noon and got our wrist bands. You can
go in and out as you wish as long as the wrist band is with you. It is
really worth it. You also need to bring your own socks. No extra charge
for the parents and only two adults are allowed to monitor the kids.
Excellent ! Of course la mama is so happy cause mama n papa can exchange
taking turn monitoring our boys and go shopping at the same time! The
most important plus point is... the play area is good for the kids'
sensory and motoring skills because they have the sand pool (cassia seed
sands) and there is also a trampoline for them to jump. Ok..let's just
enjoy the pictures!
Wefie
dalam kereta dulu.. We usually will not tell them where we are heading
to ... to avoid frustration if let say the plan is changed last minute
;p
That's how Naeem looks like sbb tak duduk diam dalam kereta!
OOTD dulu la papa...hahah
The kids were already excited when they saw the Kidz Paradize tp mama suruh take picture dulu hihi
Ok...mmg paradise la for them.. Dah lama they all mengidam ni!
woohooo.. mama pun rasa nak masuk sekali dalam ni
comel kan sotong kurita ni... they seemed to enjoy every single inflatable creature here!
the trampoline !
Naeem memang ikut je abg Fahri dia buat apa n pergi mana... comel pun ye n senangkan kerja mama n papa to watch after u boys!
mama pulak enterframe
the big cassia seed pool!
yang ni bapak budak paling seronok nampak...
The kids took the longest hours here.. so hubby and I sempat la gilir2 pergi shopping and solat. We also had a break for lunch.
Ehh besarnya budak tuuu hihi
They never got bored with the sand pool area! Happy for u both
Love seeing you two spending time together like this.. Alhamdulillah...
