his 33rd surprised birthday Iftar at Vivo Pizza!

Alhamdulillah my hubster has turned 33 yrs young. Since we've been an item 7 years ago, every time his birthday is around the corner, I will get excited to plan for something. Actually, I love to surprise my loved ones including my mom, dad, siblings, in laws and friends. I will try my best to surprise them on their birthday. Why do we need to surprise our loved ones during their birthday? Simply because to see the widest smile on their face. It's good to make them feel special on this meaningful day.

The most happening birthday surprise that I have set and I am sure my hubby would remember it till forever was his surprised birthday in 2009. I was only his fiancee at that time and he has just underwent an appendix operation, so we couldn't celebrate his birthday outside. So, I threw the birthday celebration at his parents' house, of course I have collaborated with my trusted in laws at that time. And the biggest surprise was, I made his BFF coming to his house on working day! Shah and Ameen came with working attire! haha.. Also with their partners-Nis and Sha (my bff). Epul was really shocked when he saw his BFF came! Ya la... it was quite far u know... They were working in KL areas and they have made their effort to come to Klang ! I owe them so much..haha.. teror jugak kan i buat surprise ;)

So, this year.. I set up a surprised birthday Iftar for him. 

Anyway, on the night of his birthday, i asked my kids to wake his papa up and handed the gifts that I bought a month earlier, with a birthday card. I bought him a watch. Brand? Secret hehe.

So, I have planned this surprised iftar since months ago. I have checked out some places based on few criteria. I know hubby doesn't like Ramadhan buffet because both of us will not finish it. So, few restaurants were out of the list. After few selections, this place has occurred onto my list on the very last minute, just a day before his birthday. Vivo American Pizza & Panani in AEON Bukit Tinggi. Firstly, it is very close from our house, so we don't have to rush. Secondly, we can just order for ala carte menu. Thirdly, it is located in a shopping mall, so it is very convenient for us to solat and the kids will behave since there are so many 'distractions' to offer haha. And most importantly, I have chosen Vivo because both boys really love pizza so I know they especially Fahri will sit quietly and enjoying his pizza.

I made a reservation through a phone call and explained all my plans for the birthday iftar. Even though the staff is non-Muslim but he understood well what I wanted to be done. Good job Alvin! So on the birthday, after work, I fetched Fahri from Little Caliphs and headed to AEON Bukit Tinggi. I went to Vivo and confirmed my reservation by placing an order. To make things easier, I paid for the bill straight away ( I made my hubby chose his menu first from whatsapp). Then, I went to bakery shop to get a birthday cake and brought it back to Vivo for them to decorate. 

I went back home, luckily hubby reached home later than me. I got my kids and myself ready. Hubby asked me to call Vivo saying that we will be late. I pretended like OK.. i'll call them. He said they might cancel the reservation because he didn't know that I've already paid for everything ;)

When we reached Vivo, our Tropical Swing Juice and Choco Brownies Mallows were already on our dining table :)

Then, the staff came with the surprised birthday cake. I did not take pictures because I took a video when the staff came. Buttt.. the birthday some came out a lil bit later and it was quite slow so hubby didn't look that surprise. Anyway, I still can see his shy-shy cat face haha only that mattered to me kihkih.

5th Anniversary Part 1: The scrapbook

Assalamualaikum and hello..

So I made a 5th anniversary scrapbook / story book for our 5th anniversary. The date of our wedding anniversary falls on every 28th November. We do not celebrate love-birds anniversary. No. Just because we decided to get married after few months dating each other haha... So, getting married is the peak of our time together. 5 years of marriage? Sometimes I feel it is a very young age of marriage, but there are times when I feel...heyy... 5-year is not that easy. Thus, on the very last-minute idea, I decided to make this compilation of our story from the first day we met (unplanned meeting) till now. I compiled some pictures (even he complained that some of the pictures did not match the storyline haha)... I am satisfied that I manage to produce this book (sounds like a professional novel author) within 3 days. Congratulations yana!

I don't know... It was a very sudden idea. I think 5-year is a duration which we, husbands and wives should celebrate. Usually, from previous anniversaries (only 4), it was either we bought cakes or we went for a vacation. When I was completing this story book, I did not expect a return from him. It came from my heart. I wanted to leave him with something that he could remember.

So, I went to a cute-gift cum stationary shop here in Plaza Masalam and spent RM50 for a book, glittery colored pens, few stickers, ribbons, etc. When I was about to pay, I was like "why do I need to do this...it costs me a lot..i should have just bought a card from Memory lane" hmmm... Also.. I went to a printing shop in Section 2 to print some pictures... Overall, this story book costs me RM80..woohooo...was I doing the right thing? What if the book turns out so ugly? What if he doesn't happy with the book? What if ....haha..so negative thinking I could be. 

I even did this at office and at home when people did not notice me. I felt so shy if they were like "wahhh yana...so romantik...giler la" ok shut up..haha. So this is the result of my creativity (creative ke?) the truth is..I've never done this for a man that I love.. so hubby is lucky to get one...just because I don't think I am creative enough. I rather buy a card from Memory Lane than spending so much time and effort to produce this piece of artwork haha.

I was so tired when I reached the last page, so my handwriting became the worst ever haha...I actually put few hundreds inside the envelope together with anniversary card. The money is for the shoes that he already bought earlier. I promised him to belanja a pair of Clark shoes, so he did buy one a week before and I refunded the money together with the book hehe.

So, the night before our anniversary, we went out for a dinner at Restoran Murni in Shah Alam. Murni again? Yup the place that witnessed our first meet but the actual restaurant was in SS2 PJ. So, after reaching home, i said to him, go and take something from your closet. He smiled and took the book- our 5-year story book. The kids fell asleep since the road to our home. So, the plan went smoothly. Thank u boys for understanding lolz. I switched on the main light and he was so excited to read it. I felt so shy and said it's ok..u just read tomorrow..I feel so sleepy... he said.. wait..let us read this together.. I want to read this.. together with you ..ok melting timeeee... so yup, we had fun laughing at our own selves... the first meet was always a joke for us...and the funniest part was ..I created a quiz on "How well do you know your wife / husband?" .. As for my part, I gave few questions with the answers together..of course I threw questions that I already know the answers like fav. food? fav. song? etc haha... so he complained it is not fair for him as I was the one who created the book so I can choose easy questions haha... 

Thus, I really think making a scrapbook for 5th anniversary sure does a good idea because it's kinda a post-mo term after all. Be it good or bad memories. And I am so happy he really appreciated my effort. Coz it shows =)

Happy 32nd birthday Abg :)

Assalam.. it has been almost 2 weeks we have fasting. How is your Ramadhan? Mine is..Alhamdulillah. Hope we can benefit this holy month by reciting Al-Quran / Tafsir, and implement all the ibadah as the way it should be. Let us also pray for the Palestines.. may Allah swt grant the victory for them and all umat Islam. Don't forget to have them in our pray and contribute as much as we can do. True enough. The world cup foot ball doesn't seem so exciting as the zionist of Israel are still playing mean to the Palestines.. Subhanallah.. Be grateful with the rezeki that we have.. Berwasatiah.. please remember our brothers and sisters of Gaza.. huhu.. so heartbreaking..

Anyway, Alhamdulillah my husband's birthday fell during Ramadhan this year. Full of bless. Few weeks before his birthday.. I have few plans in my mind..but this is the best that I can do and hope he loved it. 

I secretly gathered my in-laws and asked to them to iftar at my house on Monday, 7th July 2014. Ain and Ida agreed. But the prob came at the very last minute. My parents-in-law had to go back to kampung on Friday and would only return back to Klang on Monday.. I was like.. hmm..how I will gather all my in-laws especially my parents-in law must be there. I wanted my husband to be happy on his birthday. And I know happiness means family, for him. So, when I went back from work, I asked my MIL to please get back home on Monday and berbuka puasa at my house. She said, In sya Allah.. So.. I was just pasrah if things were not going accordingly to my plan..

At 12 o'clock midnight of 7th July, I placed his birthday card and gift on the top of make-up desk. I don;t know whether he felt surprise or not haha. Hope he liked them. So, the next morning, I have took an EL since my PIL were still at kampung and I have to look after my kids. But the good thing was, I managed to prepare few meals for iftar that night.

And the surprise was the birthday cake! I supposedly pick up the cake at Alam Impian but since I was on leave that day, I made the owner delivered the cake to my house.

 He knew that he was getting the cake but surprisingly he didn't know that there will be his picture holding a liverpool tag on the top of the cake! haha.. I could see his happy face haha

Hihi..saja nak cerita sebab tengah tak de kerjaan..hari selasa lepas..masa hubby tengah study untuk test dia.. boleh tak dia kata tiba2.. "Bie.. muka bie kan macam sapa nih".. I macam..dah kenapa tetiba nak cakap muka I macam sape2..en epul ni tak pernah cakap muka kita macam sape2..wpun dia tahu ada yang cakap muka kita macam puteri sarah tapi die x pernah setuju.. die kata lainla..tapi malam tu tetiba plak die nak cakap, pas tu i cakap "macam muka sapa?".. pas tu dia cakap "macam wawa zainal".. terus macam..hmm..memang tak sama langsung la..

but that's not my point here. Nak cerita sebenarnya fasal husband si wawa tu.. aeril zafrel. Dulu masa mula2 kenal epul, ramai cakap muka dia macam norman hakim. Tapi i olls rasa lain. Tapi ade la kadang2..at certain angles.. but bile ternampak sorang pelakon ni kat tv..kisah kaisara kot..yang dengan sari yanti tu .. dalam hati mcm terdetik jugak la "eh macam muka epul mamat ni".. tapi x la sama gila..nak2 I pernah tengok gambar epul masa muda remaja..dengan kedingnya..memang sama..tapi diam je la.. 

pastu ada sekali tu.. masa kitorg ngah makan kat restauran.. masa ni dah kawen.. ada bestfriend epul text dia cakap "weh..cuba ko tengok pelakon kat tv ni..cerita kasut tumit tinggi..macam muka ko dooo".. masa tu kitorang kat luar...mana la nak tengok tv..dasyat kawan hubby kita tu..siap sms tu just nak bgtau benda macam tu haha..diorang ni mmg suka kenakan masing2..so tak tau la pelakon mana yang dimaksudkan tu

pastu..ada one day ni I tertengok la cerita kasut tumit tinggi kat astro ria tu..pastu terperasan si pelakon kisah kaisara tu..pastu monolog ngan diri sendiri.. 'ohh..ni la pelakon yg macam muka laki aku tu..yg si ipang sms tu".. memang betul la..pastu cari nama dia bila dah habis cerita..aeril zafrel..adehh..susahnya nak eja nama..
