I am at home already. No need to ask what is the time now..or else i sedang kantoikan diri sendiri ;p.Oh my...Ustaz is calling...what does he want? Anyway, i am going to Penang starting from tomorrow till Monday with my big families (hubby, Fahri and I, my dad, mom and sis together with my bro, sil and the two boys) and if everything goes accordingly to plan, we might stay one night at hubby's kampung- Ijuk, Perak since my MIL will be there for a week. I have invited my mom and dad to join along. I know they love going to new places and meeting new people especially those places that they have never been to. And Penang is one of the places that my mom is longing to travel around. Actually, based on our (hubby and I) finance condition for this month, we should not go anywhere for a vacation, but because I love my mom so much and she is really hoping that this family vacation will be a dream comes true, i have succeeded persuading my hubby to go. Yeay! Thank u hubby. I have been to Penang once during my lecturing years in Perak back in 2007. It was a two-day visit to Penang...I can't recall the purpose of the visit but I went there with my good colleagues and all I remembered was that we went to Panggung P.Ramlee to watch one of our good friends' act - a classic traditional play. Oh man... I was sooo into theater back then. Anyway, all I can say is that I love Penang and I miss being there. There will be another reason why I can't afford to say no to my mom. And of course, the food! I am imagining the best Nasi kandar now! I am not craving but I am a food lover...U give me good food..i'll pay, buddy! Despite the fact that I am trying my best not to gain so much this time around, I am gonna be a food junkie at Penang, without an excuse! But of course, being fat doesn't help either ;)
You know what, I am currently in the mid of reading 'How To Be Married' by Polly Williams. It's a great novel! Since I am starting to read novels back (after completing my master's), this one is a can't-be-missed novel. I bought it using my book voucher and it really worth it. I can't wait to finish it but I am going for a vacation. I don't think I have the time to enjoy my leisure reading there. Just gonna share a lil bit of the storyline. It's about Sadie Drew, a wife and a mother of 4-year old kid, clumsy, doesn't really care about her appearance after delivering her first child, plus she neglects most of the the house-chores' lists. Basically, she is far from being the perfect wife. Until she met an old lady, quite mysterious, her life is starting to change. She learns slowly how to be the perfect wife. So, what does she learn? You need to read it! haha...
I can see myself in Sadie's character in a way. That's how I consider a good novel is...when I can relate the story with mine..heee. Not in every ways but certain circumstances that have been plotted by Williams are just exactly what most wives nowadays are facing through. I think I am better than Sadie in many ways ;p InsyaAllah...
Ok...need to start packing now before mr hubby gets back from work.
